Vladimir has written extensively on comparative foreign policies, nationalism, and the interplay of political thought, religion and literature, with special focus on Russia and the former Soviet bloc. He is the author/editor of several books on Russian and East European affairs, and his articles have appeared in journals such as Russian Review, Nationalities Papers, and Journal of Church and State. He has also contributed op-ed pieces to the International Herald Tribune/New York Times (International), Christian Science Monitor, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Prior to returning to his native New England, he also held faculty appointments at the University of Georgia and Lafayette College.
