During a recent sabbatical at Cambridge University and the Sorbonne, Dr. Lockwood wrote a book manuscript entitled Aristotle on Justice: The Virtues of Citizenship (forthcoming, Cambridge University Press). Although the book focuses upon Aristotle’s account of justice in the context of 4th Century BCE intellectual debates and political institutions, his talk will focus upon what Aristotle’s account of justice says to us today with respect to our contemporary notions of citizenship.
