Event description:

November 2017 was the 200th anniversary of the death of Charlotte, Princess of Wales in childbirth. Her baby died as well, and the obstetrician committed suicide. The second stage of labor was allowed to last 24 hours. The obstetrician did not believe in forceps delivery and his two advisors were also “not forward looking”. The event was called the triple obstetric tragedy. It changed world history. If Charlotte, the only legitimate grand-daughter of George III, had lived, Queen Victoria would not have been conceived, her grandson who became Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany would never have existed and it is unlikely there would have been a first and thus a second world war and no Hitler Germany. The whole history of the world would have been different. Since Charlotte was vivacious and extroverted and would have been Queen of England it may well have been a better place now for us all to live. Let’s see how all this happened.
